Our Tuesday excursion is to three valleys in the Dolomite mountains. |

The first stop is at Bolzano, with the impressive cathedral at the foot of the large piazza, lined with pavement cafes and with a large statue as centrepiece. |

 |
Bolzano's museum is the home of the famous ice mummy - the caveman whose body had been preserved in the ice of the glacier. |
 |
 |
 |
We opted not to see it but instead took our time wandering the streets and markets. |
