We are walking back from Torbole to Riva, along the northern edge of Lake Garda.
The Fiume Sarca is the only river flowing into the lake on its northern edge.
Right: the coastal path reaches the road - the Via Gardesana - and we prepare to leave the shade of the trees and walk alongside the road in the full heat of the sun.

Fran sat on a bench right in front of a topless beauty.
There was a pause and she said "Do you fancy anything to nibble?"
"Wouldn't mind..." I said.
"Well go on then..." said Fran.
"I can't - she's lying on them..."
